Who is responsible, and what this page covers
ShabAvaz is responsible for processing the data it receives to show events that match your choices, run the site and handle requests. This page explains what data is used in each part of the site, for what purpose, and the choices you have.
Requests about your data will be made through the Privacy topic of the contact form; this route will be available only once the form is open.
Choosing a city and using your current location
When you choose a country or city, the place's identifier and name and the coordinates of that city's centre are saved in your browser's storage so that your choice is kept for your next visit. If you choose Use my current location yourself and your browser allows it, your location coordinates are also saved in your browser. When the site requests nearby events, it sends the selected coordinates to the server to calculate the results. These coordinates are not stored as user account information or in the events table. You can change the selected location on the site, remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser, or change location permission in your browser.
Requests you send through forms
Once the forms are open, we will use your name, email address and the information you enter in the contact, advertising or event submission form to handle that request. For event submissions, a photo is optional. If you send a photo, its usage rights and suitability are checked before any public use. Sending a form does not mean an event will be published or a partnership accepted. To prevent unwanted submissions, a form security check and a limit on the number of requests will be used.
Recipients and external links
Ticket, event source and directions links take you to other sites, which have their own policies.
Once the forms are open, form details will be sent to the ShabAvaz forms mailbox; event images are not attached to that email and are kept separately in non-public storage. Hosting and email services are used to provide these features. Once the form security check is enabled, the name of that service and its role will be added to this page.
Retention and deletion
Once the forms are open, a handled request will be kept for up to 90 days after handling ends. Its email copy will also be deleted manually from the forms mailbox 90 days after handling. An unused image will be deleted 30 days after the request is rejected or its review item is closed without the image being approved; while the review is open, the image stays with that request.
Visit statistics and inactive tools
In the current version, Google Analytics 4 does not load without a real measurement ID and a valid choice from you. If a visit analytics or advertising tool is enabled, its name, purpose, the data it uses and how to make or change your choice will be explained on this page and in the Cookie Policy before it is enabled.
The public forms and their security check are inactive until the necessary setup is ready.
Your choices and requests
You can change your selected location, change your browser's location permission, and delete the data this site has stored through your browser settings.
To ask about data relating to you or to request access, correction or deletion, choose the Privacy topic once the contact form is open. ShabAvaz will review your request on the basis of the rights that apply in the United Kingdom.
Changes to this information
Any significant change in how data is used will be reflected on this page together with the date of the update.
